Airport Lounge

BA have cancelled our flight from Gatwick to Edinburgh on 17th June at 09:35 so we are now booked on the 12:15 flight. We arrive after an overnight flight from Barbados at 05:45. This means we have a (horrendous) long wait between flights of approx 6 hours! I'm annoyed just thinking about it but there's nothing we can do.

I am considering booking the airport lounge but don't know if it's worth the £39 it would seem to cost for 2 of us. This is only valid as far as I can make out for 3 hours, and with no hot meals available, only snacks, don't know if it's worth the money.

Any advice anyone? I have used the lounge at Edinburgh before but then it was with work so I was not forking out for it! We will be tired, an understatement if ever I heard one, and am very tempted.
